Anita completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University as a graduate student in Dr. Bonnie Nagel's lab. Her dissertation examined emotional processing and brain activity in youth with a family history of alcoholism. She then completed two years of postdoctoral training in Dr. Nagel's lab to study the effects of adolescent binge drinking on brain activity. She is interested in understanding the interplay between executive functioning and substance use and their relationship with brain structure and function.
